Dr Quintana is a Professor of Neurology in the Ann Romney Center for Neurologic Diseases at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard University and an Associate Member at the Broad Institute. His research investigates signaling pathways that control immune response and neuro-degeneration with the goal of identifying novel targets and biomarkers for immune-mediated disorders. His work identified an important role for the AHR transcription factor in control of inflammation driven by adaptive and innate immune cells, and important mechanisms that control neurodegeneration. He has published over 150 articles and book chapters, with multiple patents that have been the foundation of three companies: ImmunArray, Alma Bio Therapeutics and AnTolRx.
