Scientific Advisor

Dr. Lu is a Professor in the Department of Molecular Biology and Co-Director of the Program in Immunology at the University of California, San Diego. He previously served as President of the La Jolla Immunology Conference, a non-profit organization. His research focuses on the role of regulatory T cells in establishing immunological tolerance to “self” and the regulation of immune responses to pathogens and tumors. He has published many studies in leading journals such as Nature, Cell, Nature Immunology, and Immunity, and holds several patents. His contributions have been recognized with numerous awards and honors. Dr. Lu earned his Ph.D. in Immunology from Dartmouth College and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Washington and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
