PhD

Dr Lu is an Associate Professor in the Division of Biological Sciences at the University of California, San Diego and a Member of the Moores Cancer Center. He also serves as Associate Editor for The Journal of Immunology. His research focuses on roles of regulatory T cells in establishing immunological tolerance to “self” and the regulation of immune responses to pathogens and tumors. He has many publications in leading journals including Nature, Cell and Immunity. He has won numerous awards and honors for his research and holds several patents. Dr Lu received his Ph.D. in Immunology from Dartmouth College and completed postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Washington and at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
